3C Coding School raises $3 million seed for Saudi expansion

3C Coding School, an Egypt-based edtech startup, has raised $3 million in seed funding. MRG Economic Group led the round; the firm is led by Egyptian business leader Mahmoud Ramadan. Investor Amr Saad joined too, along with several strategic angel investors.

The capital goes mainly toward Saudi Arabia. 3C plans to establish a market presence in the kingdom, lean on local partnerships, and scale its student body there. Some of the money will strengthen the startup's technology infrastructure, and some will accelerate work on an AI-powered personalised learning platform.

3C was founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf. The startup teaches children and young people to code, with courses in software development, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. Classes are hands-on, project-based and interactive, and curricula are tailored to distinct age groups and skill levels.

The founders say the school has more than 120,000 students and revenue growth of 230%. Khallaf argued those results validate demand across Egypt and the wider MENA region, not just at home.

Khallaf called the seed round a launching pad for a more ambitious chapter. It gives 3C room to accelerate technical infrastructure, enter the Saudi market, and deploy the AI platform. The future of education, he said, will be personalised, intelligent, and integrated with technology.

Hosny described the round as a strategic turning point. MRG Economic Group, Amr Saad, and the angel investors bring strategic depth, market access, and industry expertise, he said. AI development sits at the heart of 3C's strategy, in his telling, and coding is more than an employable skill. It is a medium for teaching children to think, innovate, and solve complex problems. The long-term mission, he said, is bringing technology education to millions of young learners.

The AI platform at the centre of that strategy will work from student data. It will analyse learning patterns and progress, then adapt course content to each student's pace and abilities. It is built to support instructors, not to replace them.

The Saudi expansion tests whether 3C can repeat its Egyptian growth in a new market. Local partnerships are meant to ease the entry. The heavier wager is the platform itself: software that adjusts lessons to the learner, and backs up the teacher, is what could carry a school with 120,000 students toward the millions of young learners the founders say they are chasing.
