Dubai Chamber Offers SMEs Free Year of Canva’s AI-Powered Design Tools

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is offering eligible small and medium enterprises a one-year Canva Business subscription at no cost. The offer is delivered through Business in Dubai, a platform the chamber runs to connect companies with service providers. A business that qualifies does not pay for the subscription. It also gets to add up to 50 employees to the account, which makes the tool usable by a whole team rather than a single founder or designer.

The subscription covers Canva’s AI-powered design features, social media designs, presentations, websites, videos, and Brand Kits. Those are the parts of Canva Business that most SMEs would otherwise buy a license to reach. For a business that posts regularly on social channels or needs consistent presentation material, the practical effect is a lower production cost.

Eligibility rules

The offer is not open to every company. A qualifying business must be a member of Dubai Chambers. It must have no more than 500 employees. It also must not have a current or previous paid Canva subscription, meaning the program targets businesses that have not already committed to the platform.

There is another group that could soon join in. Companies with Dubai-issued trade licenses are expected to become eligible in the near future. That would move the program beyond current chamber members and reach businesses that hold one of the city’s trade licenses.

Where the offer comes from

The free accounts trace back to a partnership signed between Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Canva at the World Governments Summit 2026. The stated aim of that partnership is to support 250,000 digital SMEs and individuals over five years. A free design subscription is one concrete service inside that broader target.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, connected the offer to daily operations. He said it helps businesses streamline operations and strengthen their digital presence. He also framed it as part of a supportive environment for business growth, innovation, and scaling. The remarks tie a software perk to a long-term policy goal.

Wider context

Business in Dubai is the infrastructure behind the program. The platform matches companies with service providers in financial services, marketing, business development, and technology. According to the chamber, that existing network is meant to save companies time and resources. The Canva offer plugs into the same network by removing part of the cost of producing branded digital content.

Software is not the only cost Dubai Chambers has addressed. A related article reports that Dubai Chambers partnered with Wio Bank to improve SME access to financing. Taken together, the two arrangements show the chamber working on different layers of the same problem. A business needs money to operate, and it needs tools to sell. The Canva subscription handles the second; the Wio Bank partnership targets the first.
