Emirates NBD has extended a revolving credit line to Cars24 Arabia, the used-car platform, in a deal the bank says will support the company's growth in the UAE.
The facility is not a standard loan. It runs through an API connection between the lender and the platform, letting qualifying dealer partners draw funds, repay them and top up their limits digitally. Loan creation, drawdown and repayment all happen inside that integration, with no paper forms and no manual sign-off.
Days become seconds
Processing time drops from days to seconds, according to the bank. Approved partners move through straight-through processing, which means nothing in the chain requires a person to step in. Repayment triggers an automatic refresh of the available limit, so a dealer's borrowing capacity is restored without a request or a waiting period.
The design targets a specific problem in used-car trading: capital turns over quickly, and money parked between transactions cannot buy inventory. Emirates NBD says partners gain the flexibility to keep working capital free while they scale.
The mechanics matter more than the label. A revolving line lets a borrower take what is needed, repay, and take again — a structure that suits businesses whose cash needs rise and fall with inventory cycles. Tying it to an API removes the lag that normally sits between a repayment and the ability to borrow once more.
What both sides say
"This financing facility reflects our confidence in their trajectory and our commitment to delivering tailored digital financing solutions that directly support our clients' growth ambitions," said Hamad Mohamed Zayed, Group Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD.
"As a trusted partner, Emirates NBD understands the ambition and disciplined growth trajectory of Cars24 Arabia. Structured with flexibility and foresight, this deal sets a new milestone in our journey," said Abhinav Gupta, CEO of Cars24 Arabia.
Part of a wider move
The arrangement fits into Emirates NBD's broader effort to build digital financing for automotive dealers and other business partners operating in the Emirates. Rather than treating dealer credit as a back-office function handled through documents and branch visits, the bank is wiring it into the platforms its clients already use.
For Cars24 Arabia, the credit line supports the next phase of its expansion in the UAE market. Dealer partners who meet the bank's eligibility criteria are the ones able to use it.
Neither company disclosed the size of the facility or how many dealer partners qualify.
