Emirates NBD has put an AI travel planner in front of users in the UAE, built alongside Visa and Tripadvisor. It works as a conversation rather than a search box. Travellers describe the trip they have in mind, and the assistant returns destinations and itineraries shaped by their preferences, budget and travel style.
The recommendations rest on Tripadvisor's inventory: 8 million listings, and a review archive that has passed 1 billion entries.
Deeper tailoring for 15 destinations
Beyond the general suggestions, the assistant offers finer customisation for the 15 destinations that draw the most UAE travellers. Visa cardholder offers sit alongside the itinerary output, including hotel discounts and car rental benefits.
Three parties carry different pieces of the product. Tripadvisor supplies the destination content and the review corpus that grounds each recommendation. Visa supplies the cardholder perks that turn a suggested stay into a discount. Emirates NBD brings the distribution and the customer relationship.
Free, English, no account
Access is free and requires neither a bank account nor a login. The service runs in English on the Emirates NBD website and on a dedicated Tripadvisor domain. Anyone can open it and start describing a trip without identifying themselves, which puts the tool in front of people who are not customers of the bank.
Seven trips a year, and months of planning
The bank says the average UAE traveller plans seven trips a year. Some take as long as three months to research one trip. That research habit is the gap the assistant is aimed at: pulling destination discovery, itinerary building and offer hunting into a single exchange instead of spreading them across tabs and apps.
What the two partners said
Rohit Garg, Group Head of Retail Products and Chief Digital Officer of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, called the rollout \"another significant milestone in establishing Emirates NBD as a pioneer in AI-driven, customer-centric digital solutions.\"
another significant milestone in establishing Emirates NBD as a pioneer in AI-driven, customer-centric digital solutions.\
Salima Gutieva, Visa's VP and Country Manager for UAE, said the project shows how innovation, trusted partners and AI can combine to produce smarter and more rewarding travel experiences.
For Emirates NBD, the planner extends its digital estate past conventional banking products and into lifestyle services. Travel is the first of those, and the bank is handing it out to anyone with a browser, account holder or not.
