Mastercard and Enjaz Team Up on Cards for Expats, Travellers and Businesses

Mastercard has partnered with Enjaz Company to launch new card products for individual and business customers in Saudi Arabia, widening the wallet and money transfer provider's range.

Enjaz runs digital wallets and money transfer services. It will use Mastercard's technology to add cards and digital services. The target customers are expatriates, frequent travellers and high-net-worth individuals, groups Mastercard called growing in the Kingdom.

The products are intended to bring greater security and personalised benefits. Existing Enjaz customers are to get tools for daily financial and lifestyle needs.

Both companies tied the deal to Saudi fintech and national tourism strategies under Vision 2030, saying those strategies are making the country a growing hub for small and medium-sized businesses and a destination for tourists.

Bassam Suleiman Aleidy, Enjaz's chief executive, said digital transformation has strongly affected every area of business and life. An inclusive, sophisticated digital economy greatly benefits customers and the businesses it supports, he said.

Saud Swar, Mastercard's country manager for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and other Levant markets, pointed to the company's SME Confidence Index 2026, which he said shows digital adoption changing how businesses operate across sectors. In the Saudi part of the survey, 77% of SMEs accept online payments, 67% accept card payments and 54% accept mobile payments.

Mastercard said the collaboration will help raise cashless transactions in the country.

For Enjaz, issuing cards turns a remittance and wallet base into a payments relationship that earns fees on spending rather than only on transfers. For Mastercard, the route through a local brand reaches customers it would otherwise have to win one at a time.
