OKX UAE has widened its real-world asset offering to include tokenised U.S. stocks, giving eligible users in the Emirates price exposure to large listed companies at any hour of the day.
The exchange, part of the global fintech group OKX and regulated in Dubai by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, says the range covers more than 80 tokenised stocks, among them technology and artificial-intelligence names. The positions sit in the same account customers already use for digital assets, so no separate brokerage relationship is required.
Round-the-clock trading
Sessions run continuously, including weekends, which sets them apart from the fixed opening and closing bells of conventional equity markets. Each tokenised stock tracks the underlying share on a one-to-one basis, and users can assemble fractional positions instead of paying for the equivalent of a whole share. Holders automatically receive the economic benefit of eligible dividends.
- Trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- One-to-one price exposure to the underlying company
- Fractional positions
- Dividend economics passed through automatically
- Crypto and tokenised equities managed in one place
Dirhams in and out
Funding is handled locally. Users can link any UAE bank account to deposit or withdraw AED almost instantly, and the company charges no fees on those transfers. Rifad Mahasneh, chief executive of OKX MENA & CIS, said putting local dirham funding and crypto in the same app is what the company means by its "One App. Every Market." tagline.
Mahasneh said the UAE has built one of the world's most forward-looking environments for digital assets, and that real-world assets account for a large share of the next phase. He framed the tokenised stocks as a way to show traditional investors how crypto-native infrastructure can support continuous trading and more flexible access to global markets, by moving exposure to leading U.S. companies and major indices onto onchain rails.
Past crypto alone
For OKX UAE, the expansion marks a step beyond digital assets and toward a platform where users reach a broader set of global markets through a single application. Tokenised equities put a regulated crypto venue into territory long held by brokerages, where hours are set by exchanges and clearing houses. The pitch is that a holder keeps crypto and equity exposure in one place, and that AED funding clears without friction. The unanswered question is how much demand exists for share exposure that keeps pricing through the weekend, when the underlying U.S. market is shut.
Tokenised U.S. stocks become available to eligible OKX UAE users from 12 October 2026. Availability of individual assets, supported networks and onchain transfers may vary.
