PureHealth Buys Six Aspen Clinics Sites for SEHA Network

PureHealth has acquired six facilities from Aspen Clinics in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The Abu Dhabi-listed healthcare group plans to integrate the sites into its SEHA CLINICS network after the deal completes. It did not disclose the acquisition's value, terms or expected completion date.

The clinics are in Shakhbout City, Al Wathba, Al Salamat, Abu Samrah, Al Dhahirah and Um Ghafah. Under the SEHA CLINICS operating model they are expected to provide outpatient and community-based healthcare.

Shaista Asif, PureHealth's Group CEO, said the acquisition supports the group's expansion of community healthcare infrastructure and clinical capacity across the UAE.

The purchase adds physical capacity to a network that is already treating more patients. UAE outpatient volumes rose 9% in the nine months to Sept. 30, 2026, and inpatient volumes 13%, even as the group's UAE healthcare revenue line moved the other way.

Group revenue rose 11.5% year on year to $6.1 billion (AED 22.4 billion) for the nine-month period, results released on Oct. 29 showed. Net profit climbed 14.1% to $490.1 million (AED 1.8 billion) and EBITDA 20.4% to $1.1 billion (AED 4.2 billion).

UAE healthcare revenue slipped 9.2% year on year on a reported basis to $2.4 billion (AED 8.7 billion). PureHealth partly attributed the decline to changes in revenue recognition and lower patient activity in the first quarter.

Outside the UAE, the international portfolio of hospitals, clinics, diagnostics and insurance services generated $2 billion (AED 7.3 billion) in the first nine months of 2026, up 53% year on year, helped by the consolidation of Hellenic Healthcare Group in Greece and Cyprus. International businesses accounted for about 33% of total revenue.

PureHealth Group placed 54th in a 2026 ranking of the Middle East's 100 most valuable companies. Asif took first place in the Founders & Shareholders category of a 2026 Top Healthcare Leaders ranking, 17th on a 2026 list of the region's 100 CEOs, and first in the Healthcare category of a 2026 Sustainability Leaders list.

For now the six Aspen sites sit outside the SEHA CLINICS estate, with no timetable given for moving them in.
