UBS Becomes Second International Remote Trading Member on Abu Dhabi Exchange
UBS Investment Bank gains remote trading membership on ADX after Morgan Stanley, as foreign investors account for 47% of gross trade value.
UBS Investment Bank will join the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange as a remote trading member, the second international firm to hold that status.
The membership gives UBS clients direct access to Abu Dhabi's capital market and to securities listed on ADX. The exchange said it should help clients make better execution decisions and support more efficient trading and settlement for global investors, and that adding UBS widens market access as global demand for UAE exposure grows.
Morgan Stanley became the first international investment bank to join ADX as a remote trading member in May.
Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, group CEO of ADX Group, said the exchange was pleased to welcome UBS as its second international remote trading member this year. Global institutional demand for ADX-listed companies keeps growing despite macroeconomic volatility, he said, and UBS shares the exchange's belief in collaboration and global connectivity. Alnuaimi called ADX a multi-asset exchange and said it will keep improving market infrastructure to draw global capital, aid capital raising and further Abu Dhabi's diversified long-term economy.
Foreign investors accounted for 47% of gross trade value on ADX in the first 10 months of 2026, and institutions for 78% of total trading value, the exchange said.
The UBS membership follows a May expansion of ADX's partnership with Bloomberg, which added the exchange's derivatives offerings and market data to the Bloomberg Terminal. Eleven contracts went live, including FADX15 Index Futures and single-stock futures. The index contract tracks some of the largest and most liquid companies on the ADX Main Market. More than 350,000 financial professionals use the Terminal worldwide. Alnuaimi said then that the integration was another step in making Abu Dhabi a more globally connected capital market.
Two international banks in a single year, plus a data tie-up that puts ADX contracts in front of a large terminal audience, point to distribution as the exchange's near-term priority. The 47% foreign share of trade value suggests that channel is already carrying volume.
