Mal is an Abu Dhabi-based fintech building what it describes as an AI-native Islamic digital bank for individuals and businesses, starting in the UAE with plans to expand across the Middle East and Asia. Founded in 2025 by Abdallah Abu-Sheikh, it received in-principle central bank approval for a UAE bank licence in 2026.
