Bybit Rebrands Around a Single Platform Spanning Crypto and Traditional Assets

Bybit is rebuilding its brand around a single financial platform, a shift that moves the crypto exchange past the trading business it grew up in. The company has launched a global campaign called "Make Your Move", which it describes as its next step beyond crypto trading.

The platform under development is meant to hold crypto, stocks, gold, forex, indices and derivatives. Payments, spending, wealth and institutional services sit inside the same plan. That is a broader mandate than the derivatives exchange Bybit began as.

One place for several markets

The campaign centres on the choices open to users across markets and regions rather than on a single product. The markets named in the plan are:

  • Crypto
  • Stocks
  • Gold
  • Forex
  • Indices
  • Derivatives

Payments and spending, wealth management and institutional services sit alongside them, so the pitch covers what a customer earns, holds and spends, not just what they trade.

The scope is deliberately wide. Institutional services point to business clients rather than retail traders, and the payments and spending layer implies accounts or cards that sit outside trading altogether. Bundling all of it under one brand asks users to see a single company where they may previously have seen several separate products.

The vision Zhou set out in January

The rebrand builds on a vision that co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou laid out in a January keynote. Zhou said Bybit has evolved considerably since it started as a crypto derivatives trading exchange, and that the brand needs to reflect the business the company is building today. The campaign is that argument made public.

Rebrands of this kind are usually a statement about where growth is expected. An exchange that adds gold, forex and indices is competing for the same customers as brokerages and wealth apps, and it is asking to be judged on a wider set of services than order books and trading fees. Whether the products match the promise depends on what reaches users, and when.

The orange "I"

The orange "I" inside the Bybit wordmark now stands as its own brand mark. Bybit said the mark represents the individual and movement within the financial system. It is a small piece of design carrying a broad claim: that the person, rather than the venue, sits at the centre of the product.

For now, the campaign is the part in market. "Make Your Move" is running globally, while the single platform spanning crypto and traditional assets remains under development.
